I am now offering a matting option for custom fabric-covered mats. I have a small selection of fabrics available and a much wider selection is available from Frank’s Fabrics . You can also bring your own fabric. If you do bring your own fabric, bring at a minimum a square which is 6” longer than the longest side of the anticipated mat (this would be same as the glass size). I have put most of the equipment from my big purchase of Framing equipment and supplies into use except for an Oval and Circle Cutter, a Chronomat Mat Cutter, and a Fletcher 8400 Series Glass and Material Cutter. The Oval and Circle Cutter will stay stored until I have a need for it, but not a commonly used piece of equipment.  The Chronomat Mat Cutter is a 48” variety and older. Logan bought either the company or the product and branded as their high-end professional grade Platinum Edge line. I bought a Platinum Edge 850 40” last year and just love it. I’ll keep the Chronomat in case I need the extra length and as a backup and some of the parts are interchangeable which could come in handy one day. The Fletcher 8400 Series Glass and Material Cutter is an older one but like so much framing equipment, age doesn’t really matter, mostly condition. Exceed customer expectations in Quality, Design and Value. Treat every object being framed as if it were priceless and irreplaceable. Always do the right thing. Carrie asked me “What do you mean by ‘Always do the right thing’?”. I think I mean to make good decisions which always have the customers and employees (when I get one) best interest in mind. Don’t try to defend one’s self if a customer isn’t satisfied, but focus on making it right. Be accountable to your actions and words.

Things are all pretty much in place from the April acquisition.  These 6 pictures are where I keep moulding, Mat board and other supplies and less used tools. This unit is where I store 2 cars and where all the woodworking, cutting and joining takes place. Below 4 pictures are the Custom Framing Design Center office located at 102 W. Nash St in Spring Hope, NC. The VacuSeal had to go into our garage due to power requirements. Where to start? Back in January of 2021 I was cleaning my attic and saw all the [worthless] collectibles I have been lugging around for 40+ years and thought I would give eBay selling a try. First I sold my 2016 ND Mazda Miata Launch Edition and then lots more things. Then that grew into acquiring inventory with the thought of having more listings will create a steady revenue stream, which partially was true. My picking improved over time and now that I have seasoned reasonably well and can pick with the best of them, the shine has gone and there is a new shiny object in front of me (Custom Picture Framing).  I’m not leaving eBay as I am slowing down and just being more discriminating in what I sell. Here is the sixth volume of framing projects, a continuation of  Volume #5 .  For pricing estimation information, go  HERE . This was a framing project I did for Carrie and Steffen of an early Polaroid. Carrie did all the design work and agreed to do a double V-groove with the inside being a different mat color. Wow! She’s good. I’ll work to see if I can make a simpler version of this to sell on Etsy. The center cut was a bit tricky and time consuming, so will probably be all a single color.
