SecondMoonshot Storage/Warehouse Update #3

What a day. We got snow last night and was scheduled to move to the new 400sq ft climate controlled storage unit. We stuck with the plan and moved about half of the unit and will maybe finish tomorrow.  Size is good and love all the space. Spent about $500 on 8 more shelving units. Zabrina threw in some plants behind my back, I’ll talk to her later. Did a healthy dose of insecticide spray as well and will continue to do so monthly. Every item is wrapped in stretch wrap just in case, with the exception of some cast iron and china sets.   Every item gets the listing updated with a shelving unit and shelf location when brought to the warehouse…shelving units ge from A to Z and shelves from 1 to 5. So A5, etc. I just put it at end of the listing description.  Update: 1/23/22: Ok, the move is now complete. There was a lot of ice at the old unit and a slope so grateful I didn’t break any bones. Progress Update on Custom Framing Business

It has been a while since I have had a post and have been busy filtering through the inventory of custom framing equipment and supplies. I bought the assets from Bill Edwards of Edwards Reproductions…probably one of the nicest people you will meet, with his wife included.  There wasn’t a lot of “negotiations” going on. I felt the price for the lot was fair and there were a ton of things that Bill ended up adding to the lot, he was very generous. It was a good deal for all involved and confident Bill feels the same way. So, I ended up hiring a moving company to move all the inventory into a storage unit and luckily it all fit into my rented 10’ x 20’ unit at Public Storage on Stickman where I have 2 other units (somewhere in all of this, I am pretty sure I almost died…I’ll talk about that another day). eBay and Time Away Feature

This is the first time I am using the eBay Time Away option and so far so good. Took my father down to Myrtle Beach Marriott Vacation Club for a few days, we have a few weeks of time share, although only doing a long weekend. Setup was about as easy as you could think of. Just put in a start and end date, and an optional away message. They did have an option to allow buyers to purchase while your away and then you can ship them when you return, which is the option I chose. Pretty sure it will not have a negative impact on your 1 Business Day shipping record.  I didn’t do the start date 1 day in advance, and I really should have…it just had me scrambling the night before and having to coordinate with family to get the packages to the post office the next day. Just do the extra day before. I didn’t change the end date past the actual vacation, and figured it wont be too big of a challenge to ship everything the day after I return.
