Read The eBay Detailed Description

I got my first neutral review feedback from an eBay aBuyer. A relatively new eBayer that didn't read the description and thought they were getting 2 bowls vs the clearly states ONE bowl. I gave them a full refund before I could talk myself out of it and then requested a revision to correct. They may or may not but didn't want that to influence my decision and mantra that if a buyer is not 100% satisfied, they get a full refund. They never reached out to me or anything…future buyers: let me know if not 100%, if I can’t get you there…full refund (or option B, don’t communicate, give poor review feedback and get blocked)…I blocked them. Moving on. They have since revised the neutral feedback, but will stay blocked. 

This makes me wonder if some demented eBay buyer uses the negative or neutral feedback to hold the seller hostage, trying to get full refund to have the less than positive feedback removed. There are all kinds. Who knows….I may have just encounter one of them. I am proud of my ratings so far and my top seller stats are all perfect except for 1 late shipment….I will do a lot to protect it, but wont get bullied either.

eBay Sales Cycles, Best Times of the Month and Week To Sell

  Most of this is common sense but like everything else, may have variations depending on category. I have been looking over the sales trends for about a year since and now that I am setting most of my listings as Promoted Listings, it makes it easier to see monthly and weekly sales trends.  Observations: Common paycheck periods definitely have a major play with 1st and 15th of the month (starting a day before) being the biggest sales periods of the month, especially for higher priced listings. But I have found to take the best advantage of it, have your listings posted a week in advance if possible. I did a large number of listings 2 days before the end of the month and they seemed to have missed the wave. People have probably already made up their minds days in advance on bigger purchases. Government paychecks go every 2 weeks and can be found pretty easily with a Google Search . Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are generally the worst days of the week with it bottoming out on Tuesdays.

Auction Picks - Hoy Auction in Wake Forest, NC - Production Art Drawings and Cels, Vase, Artist Proof of Imperfect Prophet

Hoy Auction had a good auction with some items that I thought I would bid on. Ended up bidding on a number of items and ended up with 7 lots. Most notably is the 4 production art drawings and cels for 60s/70s/80s cartoon commercials (Cap’n Crunch, Nestle Quick Rabbit, Lucky Charms Leprechaun, and Charlie the Tuna / Starkist. 3 of the 4 have COAs but the rabbit does not…silly rabbit. Also got an artist proof of a sketch or engraving signed by artist probably from mid-60s or so is my guess, probably will reframe it and give to my daughter as a gift, she likes black and white art, so she should like this. Did get a large 23” vase, although probably will end up letting Zabrina use it as a plant stand, probably payed too much for it, but should make the money back on the cels. All in all, not a bad run and Hoy folks great as always, pleasure to do business with them. John

Custom Picture Framing Portfolio - Volume #6

Here is the sixth volume of framing projects, a continuation of  Volume #5 .  For pricing estimation information, go  HERE . Some customer provided photos of our made-to-order specialty record and comic frames. Decided to reframe the “Corporation” poster. Completely reframed the Maxell Porsche Blown Away (original France) and took it to the next level. Wow. Found this great movie ad on eBay and decided to get creative on the mat. This was some bead art my daughter did recently and framed for her. I picked this Porsche poster up a while back on eBay as it had a vintage 9-1 Targa and will keep it with the car. This is 1 of a set of 3 which I did for a local artist friend. Pretty straight forward framing job I did for a local customer who needed it rush for Christmas. A Jordan Nike poster I framed for a friend. Pleased with outcome. A canvas anime print. This was a framing project I did for Carrie and Steffen of an early Polaroid.
